I recently posted an older article that had some good sound design material and I am going to follow it up with another! Many people have probably already seen this but if you haven’t go here now! The good people at Epic Sound put together a great list of ways to make common sfx. Great ideas such as for slow motion bullets to: “Record the spout of a ’70’s coffe perculator”. And for Depth Charges: “1/2 speed toilet flushing with plate reverb”.
This resource is a great jumping off point for new sound designers and could even get some seasoned people out of a pickle or two.
